Welcome to My Kindergarten Classroom
My name is Fran Patterson and I welcome you to Fred L. Wilson Elementary School. I would like to tell you a little about myself. Currently, I am in my 26th year of teaching. I have had the privilege to teach all 26 of those years at Fred L. Wilson Elementary School.
I am married and have 2 boys. One son is attending Appalachian State University and the other son is attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My family loves the mountains, the beach, and the Florida Gators!
I look forward to teaching your child this year at Fred L. Wilson. Please feel free to contact me by email
College(s) Attended/Degrees Earned:
I earned my degree in Early Childhood from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC in 1991 and earned a Master's in Special Education from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte in 1995.
My love for teaching began when I was a little girl. I would put my stuffed animals around in my bedroom, get lots of books off of my bookshelf, grab some chalk and start playing "teacher" at my chalkboard. It was then that I knew I wanted to make a difference in children's lives.
